The annual Grovespring Christmas Parade entertained kids of all ages who battled the chilly temperatures to enjoy the event on Saturday, Dec. 12.
This year’s Grovespring Lions Club Grand Marshal for the parade was Joy Folck, in the memory of Joe Folck.
For Miss Merry Christmas at Grovespring Elementary School, winners were Chloe Dugger, fourth grade, and Avaya Mudge, first grade.
As for the float contest, the Mt. Zion Cuba Church won first place. Second place went to Jake’s Cafe and third place was awarded to the Wright County Junior Fair.
At the end of the parade, Santa Claus met with youngsters to find out what they wanted for Christmas this year.
