Jacob Sinning signs with North Ark

Norwood senior Jacob Sinning officially signed a letter of intent last week to continue his baseball career at North Arkansas College, home of the Pioneers, after graduation.

Sinning helped the Pirates last year to a district title and an appearance in the state quarterfinals, seeing time as an infielder and pitcher.

“North Ark gave me my first chance,” Sinning said. “I’m just excited about playing on another level and maybe go to a four year after this.”

For Norwood head baseball coach Drew Miller, Sinning is the first player he’s coached to hold an official signing in playing at the collegiate level. “I think it amps up our program and shows there are good things happening,” Miller said.

Sinning was joined at the signing by his parents, Brad and Dinah Sinning, along with head basketball coach Shane Chadwell, Coach Miller and several friends.
