Justin Levi Sanders, son of David Allen Sanders and Cynthia Ann (Short) Sanders, was born Sep. 14, 1991, in Springfield, and departed this life April 1, 2023, in Mansfield, at the age of 31 years, 6 months and 17 days. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Shadd and Anna Short, and paternal grandfather, Jesse Sanders. Justin is survived by his parents, David and Cindy Sanders, sister, Cassandra Sanders, all of Mansfield; paternal grandmother, Ava Sanders, of Norwood; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many, friends. Justin lived all his life in Mansfield, where he graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 2010. He received an Associate of Arts degree in Applied Science for auto body collision and repair in 2013. He started working at Town and Country Supermarket in Mansfield at age 16 and worked there for 10 years before going to work at Emerson in Ava for six years. He currently was working as an E.M.T. for Mercy Hospital. Justin became a member of the Mansfield Fire Department at age 19 and was still very active with the department and he was also a member of Mansfield Lodge No. 543 A.F. and A.M. of which he was very proud. In his spare time, he liked hunting, fishing and riding ATV’s and hanging out with his friends.

Justin was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and cared about others as evident by his many years of volunteering on the fire department and now working on the ambulance. We are shocked at his sudden and unexpected passing, but take comfort that while he was here on Earth, he touched many lives and had family and many friends that loved and cared about him. Visitation and funeral service for Justin Sanders were held Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mansfield. A Masonic service was held at 9:45 a.m., followed by visitation from 10-11 a.m., and his funeral service began at 11 a.m. The Mansfield Fire Department served as pallbearers. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Norwood. Firefighter honors were presented by Mountain Grove Police and Fire Honor Guard.
