Norwood Gleanings for Feb. 10 issue

Posted

Howdy,

First of all, Happy Valentine’s to you all. May you feel loved on this special day set aside for your loved ones. Those that got married on Feb. 14 are Wes and Tammy Cudworth and John and Miranda Hooker. Jr. and Mabel Wehrer will celebrate theirs on the 16th.

Just putting this out there so you can plan ahead, March 20, the Norwood Sale Barn will have a small caged animal sell back by so many people asking. Sell farm miscellaneous outside at 12 p.m. then move inside, they asked to not put no more than 10 little birds in one cage.

Congrats to Ben Campbell, son of Brandon and Mitzi. He asked a young lady to marry him and she said, “yes.” The wedding is set for June and they gain three grandsons. Their daughter just got married and their family is growing.

I have a wall dedicated to people that our town has lost. If you have a picture in a frame, bring it up and we will get it on the wall. Sorry to hear about Shirley Turner passing away. He loved the Lord and music.

Prayers go out to Nicole Hendershot, daughter of Mike and Cheryl Hendershot.

Prayers also to Loretta Pyatt, daycare worker at Norwood. Our thoughts and prayers for you and you go through your battle.

The Barber Shop in Norwood is open Wednesday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Call for an appointment at 417-834-3628.

If you have an anniversary or news that you want in Gleanings, feel free to call me at 417-259-9597 or 746-1112 anytime and I will get’er in there.

Thought: I was concerned of my memory loss so I went to the doctor and told him that I was starting to lose my memory. I asked him, “should it worry me” and he said, “Nah. Just forget it.”

Until next week, God bless our little town.
