Norwood Gleanings for the Feb. 17 issue

Posted

Howdy,

Wow, what a week. I want to say thank you to all that still had to get out in this cold., freezing temperatures; MoDOT, police, firefighters, ambulance workers, etc. Glad Norwood has there own Dollar General for our needs too.

Happy anniversary to Darren and Lori Jones on the 24th. I would like to say congrats to the Kelley Farm for receiving the Century Farm Award. Joe Kelley would have been so proud to have received that, but his wife and children were there in honor of him and their hard work.

Our last year Homecoming King Gavin Dunn put the crown on Josh Bradshaw, son of Ronnie and Judy Bradshaw and Josie Sullivan crowned Dixie Williams, daughter of Johnny and Carrie Williams. Congrats to junior Garrett Davault, son of Jeff and Courtney Davault, as he made 50 points in one game. He has put his time in the gym Coach Chadwell said. Screening will be March 1 only for next year’s Kindergarten. They must be 5 before Aug. 5. Call 746-4101 to set up time for screening.

Thank you to whoever is behind putting a Bible in every home in Norwood. They are real nice study Bibles, and if you can’t use yours, please pass it to someone in need.

For Valentine’s Day, Drew Miller wanted to send a line or two to his better half, Jordon (Gray) Miller. “We love each other and I complete her 100%. The end.” And that’s all he had to say folks! Lindsey Curtis couldn’t be more proud of her twins, Keyera and Sierra Cornelison. We watched them grow up, play ball and now they are both going into the Army National Guard.

Thought: “Failure will never overtake you if your determination to succeed is strong enough.”

Until next time, God bless our little town.
