Norwood Gleanings for the May 3 issue

To all my Readers! I am changing my hours at Reds Pizza. I’m gonna open on Tuesday nights thru Friday 3-8 p.m. and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturdays. I’ve got to slow down a little and so I decided this will give me day time to get done what I need to, and its hard to find help and I just can’t pull all dayers anymore.

• Kindergarten Graduation is 6pm May 18

• 8th grade promotion is 7 p.m. May 18

• Senior Graduation is May 7 at 3 p.m. in gym

• Last day of school is May 19

The Assembly of God has a new intern until they find a preacher, Brother Darrell and sister Kaye Loughridge.

Congrats to the Norwood Lady Pirates as they finish conference play against Seymour and win 18-0 with conference record, 5-1.

Congrats to their pitcher Maddie Campbell for pitching a no-hit shutout. She is the daughter of Brandan and Mitzi Campbell.

Congrats to Gavin McGraw. He’s gonna continue his basketball career with BBC in Springfield (where my daughter Josie plays). His parents are Bobby and Cindy McGraw. He is the smoothest basketball player I ever saw.

Line dancing is back by high demand on Monday nights starting May 1 at 6:30 p.m., by my brother Rick Bruffett will be leading it. Get ready for city wide yard sale coming up in June 3.

Thought: Age 13: Fell off my bike and rode home seven miles. Age 58: used the wrong pillow and could not function for four days. Until next week God bless.
