A 13-year-old female tragically lost her life in a one vehicle accident involving three teenagers under the age of 14 on Saturday, Nov. 27. The accident took place on Highway 181 in Texas County, two miles south of Cabool.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, a 14-year-old female from Cabool was driving a 2012 Ford Festiva when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck a fence.
A 13-year-old female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene and was reportedly not wearing a safety device.
The driver, who was reportedly not wearing a safety device, suffered serious injuries and was transported by aircraft to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. A 13-year-old male passenger, who was also from Cabool, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. He also was not wearing a safety device.
