Ruby Emodine Wyscaver, daughter of the late John and Tanna (Woody) Gilley, was born Aug. 11, 1926, in Douglas County, Missouri, and passed away Jan. 6, 2022, at Cox Medical Center in Springfield. She was 95 years, 4 months and 26 days of age. Ruby was raised in Douglas County before she married Alvin Wyscaver and moved to Wichita, Kan., where she worked for AT&T as a telephone operator for over 30 years. After retirement, she moved back to Mountain Grove, where she lived until her passing. Ruby enjoyed traveling and eating out, but she especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Besides her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; four brothers, Afton, Charley, Arnold and Melvin Gilley; and a sister, Sylvia Sutherland. She is survived by her sisters, Wanda Gentry and Doris Clark, both of Mountain Grove; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
