Winning back-to-back titles

The Mountain Grove Lady Panthers’ track and field team is adding another year to their banner after they dominated their way to back-to-back South Central Association (SCA) Conference championships last week.

The Lady Panthers won 11 of the 19 events for 217.5 team points, beating second place Willow Springs by more than 110 points as they finished at 105. Kailyn Wake won all three jumping events to claim three SCA titles. She had a seasonal best 32’7.25” in the triple jump. She also won the long jump (16’9.5”) and the high jump (5’3”).

Wake then teamed up with Raylee Stenzel, Reagan Hoerning and Jozey MacPherson to win the 4x200-meter relay race with a time of 1:49.11.

MacPherson won the 100 meters with a time of 13.18 seconds and won the 200 meters with a time of 26.98 seconds.

She also teamed up with Savannah Hellbusch, Stenzel and Hoerning to win the 4x100 (51.85).
