The “Sew It’s Wednesday” Quilt Group recently made a generous donation to the Mountain Grove High School Alumni Association to help cover the cost of carving the tree trunk into a panther statue. The grand oak tree was hit by lightning killing the tree. The quilt group hosts the Mountain Grove Quilt Show during the Heritage Festival each year in August.
