Mountain Grove man arrested after removing his GPS tracker

On Jan. 24, Sgt. Aaron Box and Detective Nathan Long attempted to contact Brian Keith Minier, 55, of Mountain Grove, regarding a burglary case they were investigating.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Report, Minier had an active warrant for absconding from Probation and Parole. It was discovered that Minier had removed his GPS bracelet and had it in his closet.
Minier hid inside the residence and refused to unlock the door. Deputies made entry through the front door and a side window, where Minier was taken into custody without further incident.
Minier was placed on a 24-hour hold and a warrant was issued for tampering with electronic monitoring equipment and resisting/interfering with arrest for a felony Bond was set at $25,000 cash only.
