Stigall gets to state for Hartville track

The Hartville Lady Eagles track and field team had just one athlete advance to the Class 2 State Championships after competing in the Class 2, Sectional 3 meet in Buffalo on Saturday.
McKenzi Stigall broke the school record after placing third in sectionals in the 400 meters with a time of 1:01.16.
She was also sixth in the 200 meters (27.83), but did not qualify.
Stigall will now compete in the Class 2 State Championship meet in Jefferson City May 22-23.
Though she didn’t qualify, Kinley Cryer broke school records in both hurdles races.
She was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 49.91 seconds and sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.74 seconds.
Cryer added a seventh place finish in the 800 meters (2:41.91).
Finally, Shaelynn broke a school record in the discus with a toss of 26.30 meters.
As a team, the Lady Eagles did finish 12th in sectionals with 21 team points.
