Mansfield golfers qualify for state
Mansfield Lady Lions’ golfers Addison Jones and Mylee Sullivan both qualified for the Class 1 state championships.
Two Mansfield Lady Lions’ golfers will continue the inaugural season one more week after they both qualified for the Class 1 state championships after a 20th place finish in the Class 1, District 1 Tournament.
Both Addison Jones and Mylee Sullivan shot a 110 to take 20th in a field of around 60 golfers who competed on the Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield.
Also competing in districts were Cali Lemons (132), Charleigh Clark (138) and Kierston Garrison (158).
As a team, the Lady Lions combined to shoot a 490 for sixth place overall.
Both Jones and Sullivan will compete in the Class 1 state championships at Crowne Point Golf Course in Farmington on Oct. 21 and Oct. 22.
