DeVries, Dickey get second in West Plains

Leading the way  recently for Mountain Grove’s tennis team was the doubles squad of Trygg DeVries and JP Dickey. The No. 1 doubles pair for the Panthers earned a second place finish in the West Plains Tournament last week.
The Panthers as a team defeated West Plains in a match on April 20, 6-3.
DeVries and Dickey won, 8-3, while Micah Barbe and Zoe Harrington won, 8-4.
Canyon Jarrett and Megan Adams lost in a tiebreaker.
In singles action, winners were DeVries (8-1), Dickey (8-3), Barbe (8-1) and Harrington (no score provided).
Adams fell, 8-5, and Jarrett lost, 8-2.
In another win, the Panthers defeated Liberty, 5-2.
DeVries and Dickey won, 8-2, while Jarrett and Adams won, 8-4.
Harrington and Barbe fell 8-2.
As for singles, Dickey and Barbe won 8-2 while Harrington won 8-5. DeVries fell in the No. 1 singles match, 8-5.
Mountain Grove did have an 8-2 loss to Willow Springs.
All three doubles teams fell, 8-6, 8-1, and 8-3.
In singles, Dickey won a tiebreaker and Adams won, 8-6.
DeVries fell in a tiebreaker; Barbe and Harrington both fell, 8-1; and Jarrett lost, 8-5.
