Local archers take part in a variety of local tournaments

Several Wright County archers have enjoyed success at events during the past two weekends.
Mountain Grove
Mountain Grove was led by Sawyer Kidd’s 285, which was good for fourth place out of 181 archers in the Laclede County Shootout. The team ranked second overall in that bullseye tournament.
Kyler Kumpula added a 272, Hayden Akers had a 271, Dayden Hensley had a 265, Chloe Slagle shot a 264, Mason Rodgers had a 263,Damien LaFranchise shot a 263, Olivia English had a 260 and both Josiah Schott and Slade Rodgers added a 258.
Hayden Akers led the first place team with a 279 in the 3D event. Kandi Alessi shot a 269, Chayden Wadkins had a 268, LaFranchise added a 266, Kumpula shot a 263, Maylee Maloney had a 259 and Kidd shot a 255.
One week earlier, Akers shot a 283 in the bullseye tournament held at Laquey while LaFranchise added a 271.
In 3D,Akers was first place out of 94 archers with a 283. LaFranchise added a 258.
Norwood
Jacob Brixey shot a 279 for fourth place out of 130 archers in the Kirbyville Archery Tournament.
In the Conway bullseye tournament, Chanse Rodgers led the team with a 266. Alyssa Allen had a 262 and Bradly Allen shot a 253.
In the Carl Junction Annual Pink Shoot 3D, Taylor Greenfield shot a 282 to finish third place out of 191 total archers. MacieMae Pridemore had a 278 and Cloe Bradshaw shot a 259.
In Laquey on Jan. 25, Greenfield shot a 287 to take first place out of 107 archers. Elizabeth Hinote was fourth with a 282 and Pridemore was fifth with a 280.
Sanders shot a 273, Brixey had a 272, Bradshaw and Alyssa Allen both shot a 263, Bradly Allen shot a 256 and Christopher Allen added a 255.
In Laquey’s 3D tournament, Greenfield shot a 289 to take first place out of 51 archers.
Hinote was third with a 277 and Pridemore was fourth with a 274 as th team took first place overall.
Trenton Carmon and Brixey shot a 267; both Sanders and Bradshaw added a 266; Bradly Allen shot a 264; and Lane Watkins shot a 263.
Mansfield
In the Laclede County Shootout, Mansfield’s Colton Wilson shot a state-qualifying score of 268. Cody Connell had the second best mark with a 241.
The top score for Mansfield Junior High belonged to Tristan Elijah, who shot a 239. Easton Napier was not far behind with a 234.
Manes R-V
In the Laclede County Shootout, Manes R-V’s Layne O’Neal was first place out of 105 archers with his 287 in the 3D event. Braidyn Osborne shot a 240.
One week earlier, the archers compete in the Laquey Shootout.
In the bullseye event, Osborne shot a 263 and O’Neal added a 262. Zane Altobello was not far behind with a 248.
In 3D, O’Neal led the way with a 278. Altobello shot a 249.
Skyline R-II
Paige Jonas led Skyline R-II with a 257 for seventh place out of 88 archers in the Taneyville Tournament.
Railynn Dixon added a. 233.
