Mountain Grove track sweeps own invitational

Mountain Grove’s boys and girls track and field teams won this past Saturday’s Mountain Grove Invitational as both squads had countless top eight finishes.
The relay teams led the Lady Panthers as the 4x100 (52.06) and the 4x200 (1:51.75) each won first place. The 4x800 finished second (11:13.30).
Lilly Hines won the pole vault after clearing 2.44 meters. She was also third in the 100-meter hurdles (17.65).
Santana Schwertfeger won the long jump with a leap of 4.81 meters. She was also seventh in the triple jump (9.26 meters). She also placed fourth in the 200 (29.07).
Savannah Hellbusch was second in the 200 meters (28.15) and fourth in the 100 (13.64).
Keena Roth finished second in the 3,200 meters (13:29.04) and third in the 1,600 meters (5:59.25).
Kylie Roth was second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.59 seconds and third in the 300-meter hurdles (50.74).
Nyelli Soto was sixth in the 800 (2:49.32) and sixth in the 1,600 (6:14.28). Makynli Blackwell took seventh in the 1,600 (6:14.58).
Sadie Schober placed third in the triple jump (9.52 meters) was sixth in the long jump (4.29 meters) and eighth in the 200 (29.76). She was also eighth in the javelin (25.41 meters).
Rowen Kelly was third in the high jump (1.32 meters).
Zoey Criner was second in the discus (26.94 meters) and seventh in the shot put (8.22 meters).
The boys squad also had a big invitational with several first place finishes.
The 4x200-meter relay team (1:33.51) and the 4x400 (3:40.53) both took first place. The 4x800 was third (9:02.69) and the 4x100 (1:33.51) finished fourth.
Aden Estep won the 200 meters race with a time of 22.95 seconds while Jaxon Kelly was seventh (24.67).
Cooper Hoerning won the triple jump with a leap of 12.49 meters and was fourth in the 100 (11.75).
Aydon Barbe was third in the 400 meters (53.86).
JP Dickey took second in the 300-meter hurdles (42.82) and fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (17.88). Dickey also took fifth in the high jump (1.60 meters).
Ethan Haacke was sixth in the 110-meter hurdles (19.83), seventh in the triple jump (11.03 meters) and eighth in the javelin (35.1 meters).
Max Guilliams was sixth in the 800 meters (2:17.29).
Hunter Bartlett was eighth in the 1,600 meters (4:59.14).
In the pole vault, Beau Nelson was second (3.96 meters) and Clayton Maloney was third (3.5 meters).
In the shot put, Payton Metty was third (12.95 meters), Slade Rodgers was fourth (12.63 meters), Malaki Williams was fifth (12.54 meters), Andrew Whitson (12.09 meters) and Charles Lauderdale was seventh (12.06 meters).
Whitson was fourth (38.38 meters) and Metty was eighth (34.45 meters) in the discus.
Braydon Curtiss placed fifth (36.71 meters) and Chris Fry was seventh (35.23 meters).
SBU Relays
In the SBU Relays, the 4x100-meter relay team was second place (52.10) and the 4x200 was fifth (1:51.66).
Kylie Roth was seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (17.36) and seventh in the 300-meter hurdles (50.90).
As for the Panthers, the 4x100-meter relay team was third with a time of 44.81 seconds and the 4x800 was eighth (9:04.13).
Nelson was third (3.9 meters) and Maloney was fifth (3.6 meters) in the pole vault.
Estep placed sixth in the 100 (11.56) and eighth in the 400 (52.86). Bartlett was eighth in the 3,200 meters (11:02.19).
