Memorial Day service held in Hartville

The American Legion Post No. 45, VFW Post No. 3135 and the American Legion Auxiliary held a service on Monday, May 27 at the Patriot Memorial by the courthouse in Hartville.
Post Commander Shelby Clement was the emcee with LTC Ron Clifton (U.S. Army Retired) as the guest speaker. Cheryl Brown sang the National Anthem and Pastor Melvin Moon said the opening and closing prayer.
Laying of the wreaths was done by Wayne Dixon, American Legion, and Dorothy Clement, ALA.
On behalf of the aforementioned organizations, we would like to extend our thanks to all those who helped out with the service and attended.
The memorial service was to honor over 100 Wright County residents who have lost their lives in the Armed Forces in wars spanning from World War I to present campaigns and the POW MIAs.
We say their names so they are not forgotten.
