Norwood’s Chambers earns All-State honors

Norwood’s cross country program left the Class 1 state championships last Friday, Nov. 8 with one All-State performance. The state event was held at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia.
The Lady Pirates’ Jayden Chambers earned some hardware once again after earning an eighth place medal with her time of 20:45.
Teammate Kalie Chadwell was not too far out of earning an All-State medal herself as she finished 36th place with a time of 22:42.9 in a field of 153 total runners.
The boys were led by Gunner Bradshaw, as the Pirates’ runner was 112th in a 173-runner field with his time of 19:51.8.
