Jane Marie Moody

Jane Marie Moody was born in Springfield to Irene and Garner Moody on Nov. 18, 1957, and died Sep. 30, 2026, in St. Louis. She leaves her brother, John Moody, of Mansfield, and her sister, Martha Schuler, of Webster Groves. Her brother, Tom, predeceased her in 1965.
After graduating from Mansfield High School in 1975, she obtained an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Louis University and a Masters degree in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University. For the majority of her working life, she was an economist for the State of Virginia Department of Taxation in Richmond, Va., during which she lived in or around the City of Richmond.
She enjoyed riding and grooming her horses, painting, jigsaw puzzles and reading. She was a loyal friend, maintaining her friendships for her lifetime. Jane was an affectionate and caring daughter, sister, and aunt, known for her intelligence, wit, and fun loving nature. Those of us who loved her will miss her very much.
