Mansfield’s track and field program had a strong showing last week in the Skyline High School Track and Field Invitational.
The Lady Lions were led by senior Logan Jones, who won the 1,600 meters event with a time of 6:00.58.She was also third in the 800 meters (2:48.25). In that same race, Mallory Sullivan was eighth (3:34.87).
In the 300-meter hurdles event, Cali Lemons was fourth (55.70). She also took fifth in the high jump (1.34 meters).
As for the relay races, the 4x100-meter relay team was fourth (56.11) while the 4x200 placed sixth (2:05.29).
Addie Jones added a fifth place finish in the long jump event after leaping 4.63 meters.
The Lions were led by Nolyn Corder in the distance races. Corder took fourth in the 1,600 meters (4:41.28) and sixth in the 800 meters (2:09.44).
Chase Kelley had a fifth place finish in the 300-meter hurdles (47.14).
As for relays, the 4x200 was fifth (1:45.10) and the 4x100 was sixth (48.83).
In the field events, Malachi Ussery finished sixth in the long jump after leaping 5.62 meters.
